India Post shipping labels and barcode allocation
A label is the point where a digital order becomes a physical parcel. Everything about it — size, barcode, address block, reprint history — has to be predictable.

Labels ready for your packing table.
Generate one label or five hundred, print to a thermal or A4 printer, and keep every barcode reference tied to the order it belongs to.
- Single and bulk generationPrint a label for one urgent order or produce a merged PDF for an entire dispatch batch.
- Barcode assignmentAssign references from your allocated series and keep a record of which range was used on which date.
- Shipment-to-order associationEach label carries the order reference, so scanning at the packing table confirms the right parcel.
- Label reprintsReprint a damaged label without consuming a new reference, with the reprint recorded in the shipment history.
- Manifest preparationProduce a dispatch manifest listing every consignment handed over, ready for acknowledgement.
- Duplicate-safe allocationReferences are locked to a shipment at the moment of allocation so the same number cannot be issued twice.
Formats for real printers
Thermal 4x6 inch layouts and A4 sheets with two or four labels per page. Margins are fixed so a batch printed today lines up the same way next month.
Allocation that cannot collide
Reference series are stored per workspace. When a shipment takes a reference, it is marked consumed inside the same transaction, so two operators printing at once cannot be issued the same number.
Reprints and wastage
Reprints reuse the original reference and add an entry to the shipment timeline. If a label must be voided, the reference is marked unusable rather than quietly recycled.
Sample labels in this site use clearly marked demo references. Real article numbers are only ever those issued to your own account.
